Dear Photography Enthusiast,
We are delighted to invite you to take part in our Sydenham in the Round Photography Competition, celebrating the amazing variety of everyday life in Sydenham. The competition is being arranged by the South London Photographic Society in collaboration with the Sydenham Artists Trail 2026.
Whether you’re an experienced photographer or just starting out, this is your chance to showcase your vision and share Sydenham as you see it. We welcome all styles of photography—from street and portrait to nature, abstract, and documentary work.
Theme: “Sydenham in the Round”
Capture the small, striking, or unexpected moments that make Sydenham Life extraordinary.

Any photo with a Sydenham theme, any size, any resolution, taken with a phone or camera, in JPEG format. Anyone can enter – there are no age restrictions, but if you’re under 16, please ask a parent or legal guardian permission before entering this competition and ask them to send your entry using their email. By submitting an entry, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian’s permission to take part and for us to use your personal information to administer the competition. If you are selected as a winner, we may contact your parent or guardian before announcing the results or awarding any prize. A title is not necessary, but please add your name, and age if you are under 16, to the email.
Your photo must be submitted by midnight of Thursday 17th September 2026.
Prizes:
The winning image will receive a Cash prize of £50 and FREE membership of the South London Photography Society till the end of February 2027.
A further 4 photographers will receive FREE membership of the South London Photography Society till the end of February 2027.
All submitted photos will be displayed on a large screen in the atrium of the Forest Hill School, Dacres Road, London SE23 2XN during the 2026 Sydenham Artists Trail (12-13th and 19-20th September 2026). Come along during the exhibition to see your photograph on the big screen! The winning images will be announced on the afternoon of Sunday 20th September 2026 at the school.
Each participant may submit one photograph.
