Rules for the Evershed Shield – London Life and Architecture

1. Summary

The Evershed Shield is a PDI competition open to all members. Entries must have been photographed in London, defined as within the M25, and should have an obvious London Life and/or Architecture connection.

It will be left to the discretion of the Competition Secretary as to whether the image meets these criteria.

2. Eligible entries

Members may enter up to five PDI images, submitted through Photoentry in the normal way.

3. Judging

The images will be judged in the normal way by an external judge. If this is not possible, the competition secretary will provide an alternative judging mechanism.

4. Scoring

Images will not be scored. The judge will be asked to select a winner and up to three (or more at the judge’s discretion) further highly recommended.

A trophy, the Evershed Shield, will be awarded to the winning image at the end of the Competition year.

5. Final Arbitration

The Competition Secretary has the final word in all matters relating to the rules of the Evershed Shield.
